Women’s Bean Project in Denver, Colorado believes that all women have the power to transform their lives through employment. They hire women who are chronically unemployed and teach them to work by making nourishing products. Instead of a one-time handout, women acquire the tools needed to sustain themselves and their families for a lifetime. Because when you change a woman’s life, you change her family’s life.

Ki-pepeo provides Rwandan women a place to learn, grow, earn, and support their families through the sewing trade. The Rwandan founder, Priscilla Ruzibukka, has been recognized as a 2018 Queen’s Young Leader by the Queen of England for her demonstration of leadership and entrepreneurship in her community.

Itza Wood creates jobs and fosters positive social impact in a place where the poverty is crushing, the Northern Petén Jungle in Guatemala. Their carpenters live in local communities where families are struggling to ensure basic human services. Itza Wood is linking families to a future with hope and well being, by creating local, sustainable employment. They have planted over 45,000 trees to combat deforestation in the area and only make products with wood that is sustainably harvested and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
