Peace by Piece International works with over 30 nonprofit partners and social enterprises selected specifically for their direct impact on people’s lives. This gift provides new beginnings for underserved communities through these partner organizations:
- Deux Mains sustainably handcrafts leather goods to create opportunities to fight poverty and to work towards a healthier planet. The Deux Mains factory is 100% solar powered, employee-owned, and each artisan receives a living wage, healthcare benefits, paid maternity/paternity leave, paid vacation, interest-free loans, and University matching scholarships among many other social benefits. It is a brand inspired by the strength of the Haitian people, where all goods are produced in small batches, using high quality leather and upcycled materials, including car tires and inner tubes.
- Ocean Bottle is a social and environmental impact company, funding plastic collection through the sale of reusable bottles and enabling individuals to create a global impact. By choosing Ocean Bottle, you’re not only reducing your own plastic usage, but you’re also playing an active role in keeping plastic out of the ocean, while supporting collectors in coastal communities with plastic pollution and water contamination, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Haiti, Brazil, and Egypt.
