2021 Peace by Piece International Ornament Collection

Compassion  ˖  Comfort  ˖  Courage

Each handcrafted ornament provides transformative, living wage jobs to at-risk individuals in Haiti, the United States, and India.

The HEART reminds us of the many acts of compassion shown by friends, family and strangers over the past year. Made in Haiti from ‘rough horn’ ensuring the ethical use of animals in the food supply.

The SWEATER is a symbol of the warmth that comes from simple things that bring us comfort. Formed, fired and painted by women in the United States fleeing homelessness, domestic abuse and sex-trafficking.

The JAGUAR inspires us to show courage as we create a better world for all. Made in India from upcycled inner tube in a women-run workshop that is guided by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Our gifts are handmade by artisans around the globe. As with all handmade products, each has slight variations that make them unique.

Contributing organizations include:

Atelier Calla (Haiti): Atelier Calla was started in 2007 to revitalize the artisan work with bone, horn, and wood in Haiti while combating the low employment rate and degrading education system. This workshop supports 20 families (over 100 people) with guaranteed pay above minimum wage, one daily mean, an annual bonus and life insurance.

Prodigal Pottery (United States): Prodigal Pottery is handmade by women fleeing homelessness, domestic abuse and sex-trafficking. The women learn pottery making, receive financial training, emotional care and support, professional skills and assistance finding stable housing and long-term employment.

Jaggery (India): Jaggery is a women-led social enterprise that converts industrial waste material into a range of professional bags and multipurpose accessories. The organization was founded on the principles of sustainability, fair trade, and global citizenry. Their goals align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
