About the Makers
This Peace by Piece International partner, The Aruna Project, is a nonprofit social enterprise that creates lifelong freedom for survivors of human trafficking by providing sustainable employment and holistic care. Combining nonprofit services with business solutions, they offer survivors a pathway from exploitation to independence through its Freedom Business model. This includes paid apprenticeships, trauma counseling, life skills education, and full-time employment in crafting premium athleisure products. Each purchase directly supports the artisans, ensuring they receive fair wages, healthcare, and retirement savings, all within a supportive community.
