About the Makers
This gift box supports four Peace by Piece International partners:
Saidpur has provided fair employment opportunities and business training to over 1500 artisans for 30+ years. Saidpur supports mostly women who are heads of household and/or widows by paying them fairly and on time, and by building their capabilities through workshops and on-the-job-training.
Saidpur believes that if women are empowered, the community as a whole will be transformed. Their fair-trade bags are made using locally sourced natural materials such as eco-friendly jute and recycled materials like second-hand saris. As a certified member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), Saidpur provides work to marginalized women with full transparency to both partners and artisans
Homeless Garden Project is a nonprofit organization based in Santa Cruz, CA, dedicated to providing job training, transitional employment, and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Through its organic farm, the project offers a therapeutic environment where participants engage in sustainable agriculture, gain valuable work experience, and build a sense of community. The farm’s produce is distributed via a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and sold at local markets, with proceeds supporting the organization’s mission. Additionally, the project offers volunteer opportunities and educational programs to foster community engagement and awareness.
Hon’s Honey is a transformative social enterprise dedicated to empowering women survivors of trauma—including addiction, trafficking, generational poverty, and abuse. As a proud employment program of the non-profit The Well, Hon’s Honey offers their women makers a path to healing and purpose through meaningful work and comprehensive support.
Each gift represents a step towards financial independence and personal restoration for the women involved. Through a holistic life development program, participants gain access to counseling, workshops, and a nurturing community. This support system helps them build skills, regain confidence, and achieve stability. Your purchase not only supports their craft but also helps them rebuild their lives, turning their experiences into powerful stories of recovery and hope.
Thistle Farms was founded in 1997 to help women survivors find physical and emotional healing through a free two-year, holistic program. Women receive trauma therapy, recovery support, community, and employment. Through its social enterprises—including a body and home product line and a café—Thistle Farms creates employment opportunities that support healing and financial independence. All proceeds are reinvested into its programs, fostering a community where women can rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
