In countries affected by conflict and war, Women for Women International supports the most marginalized women to earn and save money, improve health and well-being, influence decisions in their home and community, and connect to networks for support. By utilizing skills, knowledge, and resources, she is able to create sustainable change for herself, her family, and the community. Women are brought together in a safe space to learn life, business, and vocational skills, allowing them to be the sole supporters of their families. Graduates receive assistance in expanding their business with economic training and support.
SHARE – The Cookbook That Celebrates Our Common Humanity
Nothing brings people together better than the sharing of food.
The recipes in this uplifting book include healthy, everyday recipes, nutritious recipes for family meals, recipes for sharing, and recipes for celebrating. Recipes are contributed by internationally known chefs, humanitarians, and philanthropists, as well as graduates of Women for Women International’s one-year life skills program for victims of war and conflict.
Dishes range from spicy cashew and tomato soup to Indonesian beef rendang, and orange-scented almond cake. Interspersed throughout are the inspiring stories from the women whose lives have been changed through the intervention of Women for Women International.
