Peace by Piece’s Guatemalan partner, Itza Wood, exists to create jobs and foster positive social impact in a place where the poverty is crushing, the Northern Petén Jungle. Itza Wood is linking families to a future with hope and well-being by creating local, sustainable employment. All purchases benefit The Jungle School, a safe place where 400 students come daily from 9 local villages.
Over 45,000 trees were planted by Itza in the region before they ever cut a tree. All wood is native, sustainably harvested and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
