About the Makers
Peace by Piece International works with over 30 nonprofit partners and social enterprises selected specifically for their direct impact on people’s lives. This gift basket highlights two of our incredible partner communities:
Beautiful Day works with nearly 120 refugees representing 14 nationalities and 20 ethnicities, including many without first-language literacy. It offers training for refugee adults and youth at multiple levels and prioritizes those facing the most significant job-entry barriers.
1951 Coffee provides support to refugees and asylees in Berkeley, CA through barista training, job placement for graduates, English language support, entrepreneurial support, and career coaching.
