Peace by Piece International, a social impact corporate gifting company, will use designation to further its goals of providing second chances to underserved communities, especially women and minorities
Silicon Valley, Ca., October 27, 2022 – Peace by Piece International announced today that it received certification as a woman–owned business from WBENC, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. WBENC certification is considered the gold standard in diversity and entrepreneur membership, and is acknowledged by governments and most U.S.–based corporations as proof that a business is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women.
“We believe that all individuals deserve the opportunity to become self–reliant. Sometimes that requires second chances in life. For women and minorities, those chances aren’t always there. Those are the people we want to work with.” said Lauri Pastrone, CEO of Peace by Piece. “Our purpose has always been to help women and women enterprises. WBENC certification means we can be recognized as a women–led force for good.”
WBENC has been supporting women–owned businesses for 25 years and offers education, support, and tools needed to grow and succeed. Its goal is to fuel economic growth by identifying, certifying, and facilitating the development of women–owned businesses.
