Itza Wood creates jobs and fosters positive social impact in a place where the poverty is crushing, the Northern Petén Jungle in Guatemala. Their carpenters live in local communities where families are struggling to ensure basic human services. Itza Wood is linking families to a future with hope and well being, by creating local, sustainable employment. They have planted over 45,000 trees to combat deforestation in the area and only make products with wood that is sustainably harvested and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
beelove® employs women and men returning home from incarceration. Together with their partner, Sweet Beginnings, they provide opportunities to establish a positive work history, learn productive work habits, and become productive members of society. Every purchase of their products reduces the number of people who return to prison by providing the support, confidence and skills needed to re-enter the workforce.
