Women’s Bean Project believes that all women have the power to transform their lives through employment. They hire women who are chronically unemployed and teach them to work by making nourishing products, while acquiring the tools needed to sustain themselves and their families for a lifetime.
Sweet Beginnings employs people returning home from incarceration. They provide opportunities to establish a positive work history, learn good work habits, and become productive members of society. Every purchase of their products reduces the number of people who return to prison by providing the support, confidence, and skills needed to re-enter the workforce.
Itza Wood creates jobs and fosters positive social impact by creating local, sustainable employment. Their carpenters live in local communities where families are struggling to ensure basic human services. They have planted over 45,000 trees to combat deforestation in the area and only use sustainably harvested and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood.
